fasted cardio ?

morning all,

seen fasted cardio mentioned a few time and have got the basic idea of what it is and how to go about it i think (please correct if wrong )

light cardio first thing in the morning before breakfast so your your body is forced to use fat as energy ?
^^^ is that right ?

how effective can this be with a keto style diet ?
and is there a chance of muscle also being destroyed instead of fat ?

all replies appriciated,

I am a fan - sort of because I advise doing it with 10g glutamine and 5g sugar down your next - which technically means you arnt fasted :)

i read doing 45/60mins at 110-130bpm (a fast walk or very slow jog). im trying it at the moment and have lost about 10lb in a month or so. although only 1 week in every 3 is fasted cardio with working shifts, thats all i can manage

Sorry for the thread Hijack Big dav

I'm hitting the cardio for the next 8 weeks as I'm just trying to shift the slight bit of fat around my lower abs for holiday.
Would fasted cardio be worth doing in the mornings whilst weight training in the afternoons? (heavy, with a four day split routine.)
I know it's nearly impossible to build muscle whilst burning fat, but I don't want to commit to a outright cut and just need to burn a couple of pound of fat.
