I went to see WCW and WWE a few times as a kid, one at Wembley, one at the NEC.

My favourites were the Ultimate Warrior (Crazy guy but good showman).

However, the one who really made an impression on my memory was 'Vader', I thought he was the scariest and most powerful man in the world at the time lol. (See pic)

Funny because now I see a fat man in a mask who probably wasn't very strong in the scheme of things!

    For serious wrestlng I like:

Billy Riley/Old school catch as catch can guys (Lancashire Wrestling). FP did you know any of these guys? I guess they may have been around in your youth.

    Karelin for olympic wrestling (Russian).

Marcelo Garcia from submission wrestling (current).

I had Revenge on the N64, gotta be the best game ever invented.

I used to like Booker T, Eddie Guerro, Saturn and Raven.

Some got slagged off by my mates and then Booker and Eddie made it big in that new group they made.

Stopped watching wrestling as much when Bret Hart went to WCW and stopped watching altogether around the time he finished. He wont come back as a wrestler mate, had a stroke, has a permanent concusion from Goldberg kicking him and just had full knee replacement, but theres never been a better wrestler IMO.

favourite wrestler has to be the ultimate warrior - just remembering the music gives me goosebumps

on a side note, least favourite wrestler is a tie between goldberg and john cena for contrasting reasons

goldberg was apparently a right a-hole behind the scenes - plus from the bret hart incident you can see he had no compassion or remorse

cena on the other hand i have heard is a total professional behind the scenes, no attitude or anything and always happy to sign autographs etc - but the super cena thing is getting beyond a joke now

I remember watching... shortly after Bret Hart joined the WCW, owen hart died and Bret did his speech, I nearly cried...felt bad

The whole hart foundation are just about dead now, shame....

I didnt know why he left wrestling... was it real or just part of the act?

He was out for a while with the concussion but still doing mic promos but just before WCW folded he got let go as there was no telling when he could wrestle again. Just him and the Anvil left now.

You will have heard about him messing with Jericho backstage and Jericho embarassing him with a front face lock? I saw the match with him and Brock (the last WWE match for both I believe and it was brutal. Cena I have seen and always thought he was rank.

I see.... I personally dont buy into their "personalities" if that makes sense, just their styles

First time I ever watched WWF, when the hart foundation and stone cold hated each other, I just remember Bret was on crutches/in a wheelchair and stone cold attacking him, watched in since then

Goldberg, was good imo...but didnt work in WWE, could have been much better

The vid I was talking about:

Yip, not the flashiest but his matches were the most realistic if you like. Mania 13 with Stone Cold is the best match I've seen.
