food digestion times?

anyone know of anywhere where I can look to see how long certain foods take to digest or at least clear the stomach? Ta

    It will vary dependant upon the foods you eat, what you eat together, metabolic environment, timing, etc...

    Where did he get those digestion times from?

    THat "One meal" he tested on himself much of been a very interesting experiment. He must of been in ideal situation and that meal must of taken him a good few hours to eat(wonder if it really want ONE meal). Also he'd of had to wait perhaps a few days even and not eaten other foods to be sure what caused all those pretty colours in his poop .
    hmmm, perhaps he did.

    If I eat a curry in the evening, I can still taste it (especially onions) when I burp the next day.

    I am sure things like red meat can take over a whole day to fully digest.

    The stomach will only digest what it can, so say you have a big meal, it will only allow a certain amount of food at anyone time to enter the gut.

    Yes, interesting article. Interesting in that if you do a search the word 'peristalsis' doesn't come up once.
