gironda tube holiday special!
This is a copy of a post from my journal, but i thought someone was more likely to read/critique here. Basically, I usually train heavy compound 5*5, but i'm off on holiday on Monday and will be out of the gym for a month. This is what I'm thinking of doing.
ok, just got a set of resistance tubes from decathlon. Despite the picture of a young lady "toning" on the pack, I've had a little play and i think i can make use of them.
I am thinking of doing an AB routine whilst on holiday.
flyes with resistance tubes
Press ups (tubes adding extra resistance)
shoulder press (with tubes)
Lateral raises with tubes
I leg squat
Row with tubes
curl with tubes
I'm thinking of doing everything in an 8*8 gironda style, basically taking as little rest as possible (under 15 secs) between sets. I'll try to do 3/4 sessions per week, but will adapt depending on how it feels.
Obviously not perfect, but it will make a change from my 5*5 and should at least keep me ticking over.
