good places in Cornwall?

I'm off there with the missus in a few weeks (expecting our first child in Jan so nowhere too hot this year )

Thinking off cornwall.. any ideas? I'll be avoiding Newquay..too old at 31! sandy beaches, relaxing and nice see view hotes would be spot on..traffic could be a mare I'm sure

Or other ideas? done the new Forest alot so fancy something different..live in Oxford so Isle of Skye is out!

I live in Cornwall so i know a thing or two.

I would recommend Falmouth, St Austell as well as Bodmin.

You can get to Plymouth (in devon) very easily and it has all the entertainment and shopping you may require.

Newquay is a good place, why would you avoid it?

If your after a beach definatly check out Padstow and the surrounding beach areas.

    Hope this helps.

i live in cornwall m8- live in a village near looe! where u from?

i agree with what you said, except that newquay can be nice in the day, just a bit thuggish at night in places.

dibber- visit the cornish fishing villages- they are nice- mevagissey is a good one to go.

anywhere around the falmouth truro area is a good place to stay (are u camping?). the south coast of cornwall has nice beaches, not much surf. north cornwall (newquay etc) has bigger beaches, v busy in the summer but better for surfing (although the surf is always better in the winter!)

email me if you want specific advice m8
