    IMO
    (1) minimal, better to get ro accutane if you have a serious acne problem
    (2) again as above

this is the first step a GP will give to people complaining of general acne, its OK but not worth getting excited about

panoxyl aquagel 10 is good IMO and daily face care

    fair do's mate

    probably dont require it either

simple face care, combined with the panoxyl aquagel may help

the oxytetracycline did nothing for me but stung me for 6 quid every couple of weeks

panoxyl = battery acid. I use it occansionally but only for a day or 2 as it dries my skin so much and I have only got the strength 5 not the 10.

    ok

i dont have it at all, other than one or two every now and then on the face

i used a 16 week course of roaccutane and it nuked them clean, as documented before, not a great eperience but very much worth the 16 weeks of discomfort etc

as for the panoxyl paul, is it aqua or acne gel? the two differ and the acnegel is harsh, hence the suggestion for the aqualgel 10 which is far far better

pretty sure its the aqua, its a white watery-ish cream. If I remember rightly I asked what the difference was between the 2 when I bought it and the pharmacist said the aqua would be less harsh on the skin.

So fcuk knows what the gel does, probably instantly disolves my skin.

yes the acnegel (from sainsburys pharmacy) makes you dry as a bone

i loved aquagel, used it for years and still have some for the odd moment now

cheap also, maybe one of the boots water based moisture lotions would help if you run it alongside paul?

oxytetracyline might not work for you. There are six different forms of tetracyline drug which are all broad spectrum antibiotics.

Basically the chances are only one will work for you and its a bit trial and error to see which one it is. If you don't see any improvement after six weeks go back an if he's a sympathetic doctor he might try you on a different form.

However a sympathetic doctor to these problems are generally quite hard to come by an they won't keep you on antibiotics for any prolonged period due to the risk of developing resistance.

tetracyclines are **** for acne in adults.......i think i had every one going......lymacycline/tetracycline/minocycline etc etc....
Accutaine is the daddy, sides are nowhere near as bad as people made out IMO.....if u are gonna top urself u will do it without accutaine!
Panoxyl 10 is too strong for me and makes my neck/face worse.....however i do find 2.5 quite good.
Viaminatti cream is what i currently use and its bloody brilliant!

When I was younger I went thru every different antibiotic tablet available before my doc would refer my to get roaccutane. It was the only stuff that worked for me and the only side effect I got was dry lips.

yes i agree with gripper dog here

it is suggested in many a study that roaccutane is linked to suicide. IMO you have to have some tendencies before hand

minocin MR was poor from the doc but again they are very eager not to get you on the roaccutane if avoidable

Thats 3 of us all found the same thing....accutaine works and the sides are overstated.I was happier than ever when i was on it because it works!
Putting up with dry lips is just a small price to pay for getting rid of the spots.

    yep
5 years of pain, made worse for 16 weeks is far better than a life time of all that goes with spots

for me it wasnt a physical thing but a confidence issue
