gym prices

hello everyone, just a quick question, if your gym went from £30 a month to £35 a month but still had limited hrs i.e. 11am till 8.30pm weekdays, would you look elsewhere. we have another gym with the same level of bodybuilding eqip for £20 a month and better opening times.

is loyalty a massive issue with you guys.

Depends on what you are after from the gym - do the current opening times work for you now? Also, how attached i am to that one gym. IE relationship with people that work there, the other members, equipment etc.

Basically an identical gym but with hours that suit you better and prices that are almost 50% less? And you need to ask?

My gym price has increased from £30 - £35 a month.......I,m sticking with it though but thats more to do with its location and the fact that it has a good range of equipment.....The local authority gyms are half that and you swim for free but there more for fitness rather than strength so giving them a miss, as long as the price doesnt go up any more then the cost will become an issue.

Approx 16p a day increase? Not a great deal really considering the increase in price in utilities etc. If you're happy there then support it.

I would have no loyalty. If I found a gym I really liked I would want to stick with it, and price increases are inevitable of course.
But the "restructuring" type price increases make me look elsewhere (i.e. previously was £20 a month with personal trainer extra, now £30 but personal trainer "free", when I don't want and would never use the PT).

In a lot of cases Gym prices are going down.

I recently rejoined at 236 euro down from the normal 360 yet 4 weeks later it is 199 euro.

Loyalty is a good thing but it has to be warranted as stated above.
