help i screwed up

help i screwed up

i took 3 weeks off to go home for the hollidays and i dint eat right or do any cardio, and when i came back and started my routine i had lost alot of my strength i started out with lighter weight than i stop with befoe i left but i could only do 3 of the five sets of 5 before having to get someone to pull the weight off of me,

So my question is should i go down in weight untill i can do the weight by myself next week or should i just stay with the same weight and work my way untill i can do it

    drop it....by more than you need to, ease yourself back in! don't try and do the impossible...say if you were benching 100, start with 80 and increase when you feel ready.

    That has happened to me a few time when I have moved. I find that I get back to where I left of fairly quick and then it is back to work as usual.

    Don't panic, just take a small step back assess where you are and you'll be back to where you were in no time.
