help my friend

I have a buddy who, against my advice, has gone ahead and started taking anavar two days ago. He's only worked out at home for the last 6-7 months. He is going to run winny with it, and although I could not convince him on things like taking roids to begin with, and diet (will talk about his diet in a sec) I convinced him his doses were off. he is now gonna run the var and winny side by side for 5 weeks var@35/day and winny@75 eod. hes a bulky boy at 5'8", 110Kg. wants to drop fat and tone up a bit. He was advised by a friend of his and apparently read on the net that he should eat 2800 cals a day with 0carbs.....yes, 0 carbs. is this ever acceptable? He is also planning on cutting milk out of his diet and drinking all his shakes with water, planning on drinking 4-5 shakes/day. What can i do/say to convince him he's not right.

Then tell him to forget steroids and get his diet and cardio sorted. He's deluded imho if he thinks these areas can be bypassed by steroids.

He was advised by a friend of his and apparently read on the net that he should eat 2800 cals a day

How on earth can he pluck a figure like that from thin air? This is insane. He knows nothing of his metabolic rate, activity levels etc etc

    with 0carbs.....yes, 0 carbs.

Yes that sounds like a barrel of laughs. He'll feel lethargic as hell, no energy to train, his workouts will be **** thus kiss any chance of muscle gains goodbye, and on top of all that he'll feel depressed and ratty as hell.

    is this ever acceptable?

    Not for bbers imho.

He is also planning on cutting milk out of his diet and drinking all his shakes with water, planning on drinking 4-5 shakes/day.

Does he think shakes will contribute to fat loss/muscle gain any better than real food? Shakes are food!

What can i do/say to convince him he's not right.

Show him this thread. He can then take or leave the advice.

lol. Ok so i'm not crazy when i say that you NEED carbs (as he seems to thinks its crazy). i've stopped arguing with him, he hung up on me when i tried. PB, he plucked that figure by saying you multiply your body weight by 12 and thats how many cals you need and its ok to eat 0 carbs, i mean the guys cut milk out of his diet cause of a few carbs......shakes in water .........get some more posts please as I intend to show him this thread ASAP.

Tell him he's a tit and stop thinking that steroids are a quick way out of it, tell him he's a lazy ignorant c*nt for hanging up on you and not doing his own research, then print this page out give it to him walk off and let him get on with it and not do anything else for him.

He will require carbohydrates in his diet, and a nice amount of them if he intends on packing any size on.

Shakes are not food - they are a supplement, an improvisation when it comes to solid foods. However shakes in water is a good thing during the day as it has a faster release rate compared to that of Milk which is best used before sleep as it has a slower rate.

He knows nothing of diet, supplementation or steroid use. And I highly doubt he has any clue of lifting properly.

He should not be using steroids. If he throws your concerns and advice back at you then I wouldn't even bother helping out tbh.

thanks a lot fellas. he's gonna be comin by in the next few hours to workout at my house. hes a lontime/good friend so im gonna do everything I can to help him since he has already started. But today he said his "buddy" (same guy that told him all the other BS.) told him to take the winny @ 25/day.......i totally snapped when he told me that and told him i wasnt gonna help him anymore. ITS 50/DAY OR 75 EOD and thats that.....is what i said. Anyhow, hopefully he'll start listening a bit more, and preferably do his own research.
Don't worry boys, I wont let him kill himself. although it would be funny to see him try to walk after a few days with 0 carbs.
