Never givern diet advice as still learning myselfbut ill give it a go.

Seems fine but I would say make sure the cardio in max 45mins

Up the protien and a little fat if your figures are accurate

The rest I will leave to the experts

Also does he go to bed soon after 8pm? As if not another meal could be slipped in at 10pm

i would say its too technical too soon

if he has been consuming 1000 calories ED then the likelyhood of walking into that diet is not ideal

simply get him to start having an appreciation of good food, portion control and rest

    strict is not required

helping recreational trainers goes beyond the 'ideal scenario'

simply get the ball rolling with gradual, sustainable changes

that diet is far too strict

    yes

but he is a recreational trainer where "more is better"

its hard to educate them and now suggesting he does less training and eats more becomes illogical

take him on one of your sessions

20 reps suqta him for 4 stes
12 rep deads for 4 sets
    cins to failure x 4
    dips to failure x 4

then go round the next day, do the same, do the same again

then see if he wants to train daily and show him train is smashing the arse out your body and relaxing

then start showing him new foods, rough eating times

    then let things flow

going from A-B as you have is too much to sustain and understand for 99% of rec trainers
