how longto be fully flexible in the hips

how long would it take about to be able to go from being very stiff too be able to do front and side splits plus foot over head?
could it take years or only months?

i believe with a healthy active lifestyle and some good knowledge and aas/peps use etc that you can live a longer stronger better life.

main interests: physique conditioning, bbj, muay thai.

May never happen, think the side splits depende alot on the width of yoru hips etc.

As long as it takes to readdress the muscle patterning to prevent chronic overstretching of underractive muscles and loosening of tight, overractive muscles.

How long's a piece of string really. Do it daily and you'll feel better, but adding length to tissue and changing your base level of muscle tone (how active it is) is a long old road.

Ive always had the problem of my back rounding when doing A2G squats. The issue is meant to be related to your hip flexors being not mobile enough.

I have tried stretches and other techniques, but it seems very hard to gain any new flexibility.

I can go past parallel without my back rounding, but not all the way down.

I've been googling for various schools of thought on that very subject. A stretching method called Active Isolated Stretching (AIS). Looks interesting, I'm gonna give it a try.
