how much whey powder

at the moment i take 1 measure of whey powder in 1 pint of semiskimmed milk per day.does anyone know if this is enough?and when are u supposed to take it in relation to trainning ie.how long before or after thanks

    it depends on what else you eat, if you have a high protein diet anyway and are just taking one to supliment your meals then one a day is fine.

    but weight dependant you should really be aiming for 30g+ of protein every 3 hours (in whey this is about 1.5 scoops)

    i take a whey shake of 2 scoops in 350ml every 4-6 hours mate. if your going to drink a pint of skimmed milk in a day, put at least 2 of those badboys in.

    Age: 24
    height: 5'10
    weight: 70kg
    squat: 160kg 4 reps
    deadlift: 150kg 2x 5 reps

    oh and in relation to training, I drink half a pint of milk with 1.5 scoops before and after a workout.

    as SBR suggests plus you should be aiming for 1.5g protein per 1lb of bodyweight per day...

    thanks guys i arnt takeing enough as u say.so i will up my dosage thanks for your replys.oh and does anyone find that when u take whey powder it swells ur stomach?

    remember whey isnt a replacement for 'real' food, chicken and tuna etc doesnt just consist of protein, they have alot of other nutrients in them which you NEED. I would eat lots more food, and drink a shake at times when you cant eat food, or as a top up, pre/post work out drink.

    well if you sleep for 8 hours every night, the averages work out you need 194g's per day (based on your weight) so 36g's or there abouts every 3 hours

    usually its taken PostWO immediatly after weight training, some upon awakening also, with water
