how & what to eat on holiday

Myself and my girlfreind are jetting off to Ibiza a week on saturday, and I've been on this cutting diet for many, many months. Exactly how long its hard to say as at one point I was taking in too many cals, and wondered why the fat wouldnt shift...

Anyway been eating 5-6 clean meals a day, 3-4 of them with veg, 4 or 5 bits of fruit, protein on waking and PWO etc etc.

Now we're away for two weeks, and although i'm not planning to automatically eat junk for two weeks, or even drink that much (I've realised how important it is to me to limit alcohol),

How should i approach my eating, bearing in mind its going to be pretty impossible to train properly if at all for 2 weeks?

Our holiday package is B&B, but for what the breakfast is likely to be I'd class it as self catering.......

This time last year when we were away, I was still recovering from dislocated shoulder (basically 3 months from dislocation) so I was not really back settled into Gym routine, but this time i've been lifting as heavy as injuries allowed me to and as i say eating pretty strict.

Also last year i spent an awful lot on food (stupidly buying from tourist food shop ie highly priced places rather than searching out Supermarkerts proper) egg, tuna, mackeral fruit etc cost me a FORTUNE.

Now I dont want to fall into that trap again, but should i keep eating the same as i have been doing or cut it down as I'll be less active (as in go traiing for 2weeks)?

I'd be grateful for advice if possible

Rodge.

(P.S. if its relevant, when we get back i plan to start bulking, cleanly, but dont want to necessarily get off to a bad start by pigging out over a fortnight OR starving myself either

for 2 weeks I wouldnt worry, just relax and enjoy yourself. Eat what you enjoy. I mean this is what a holiday is about is it not. Last holiday I went to spain, drank copious amounts of wine, vodka, cocktails and ate a lot of icecream, it was a good holiday.

    well.......
didnt expect answers like this o be honest!
I dont really want to loose any mass, or particularly gain fat, lads!
Yes I'm planning to take it easy, but not abuse myself with kfc everyday (as an example).

So you think i should bother trying to keep any diet structure at all? I see 2 weeks as being quite a long time without whey, and without my normal food routine

yeah but if i do that "a little" I may do "a lot" of it for 14 days/nights solid. Thats what i'm afraid of

I want to keep it sensible, I mean i can keep the drink sensible, as it doesnt interest me that much any more, but if i start relying on junk food for e.g. too much i may think "ah well I'm on holiday i'll eat sh1t for 14 days"

i am not saying go and eat KFC every night. I am sure when you go out to a resturant you will more than likely make healthier choices than most people. Just have a few extra beers and dont be afraid to have an ice cream on the beach. It not that hard to still eat a decent amount of protein on hols so i dont think you will lose much mass if at any.

No, I know mate sorry - bit rash of me saying that!. I do agree, but what i'm saying is should i try to still eat as many meals as i do mormally ie 6? or not as i'll be less active?

I did this last year, or as close as i could. ie making omlettes, tuna/pasta, omeltte baguettes, tuna baguettes.

True yes i usually make good food choices with respect to nutritional values when eating out (i say usually)! but nice to eat lamb or duck very ocassionally! etc

In two weeks muscle loss will be very minimal, you could just do a few press ups and sits ups to help.

Whenever I go anywhere, I just pack a couple of jars of low fat mayo, some tortilla wraps and ALOT of cans of tuna - it's ideal because the tuna isn't going to go off like most other protein sources. Either that or take a tub of whey with you too!

But as the others say, loosen up a bit, but there's no reason why you can't keep packing the protein in!

-aye i dont intend to be greedy as such i dont see point of going too mad just as i'm on 2 week break!

I know the one you mean i think i'm right in saying that the prices of things like tinned tuna and mackeral or on a par with the other shops near "El Huevo" . Yes I want to try the SuperMarket - thats beyond San Rafel i think

Otherwise main road to Eivissa has a supermarket on.
