    first of all, nice routine!

    anyhooo, I would do this:

    wed
    pinch grip
    plate curls

    fri
    farmers walk

since your just beginning. This will help strengthen the tendons and stuff before you do the harder stuff

personally i would do that as suggested on mon and wed, not wed+fri, as he willneed all the grip he can muster to DL on fri.

Why not keep things as they are now, but every 2nd week make friday - "Thick Bar Friday" and do your deadlifts, rows and curls on a thick bar?

Would gradually bring your supporting grip up, as well as add some fun variation to your training whilst sticking to key lifts.

    Blood Sport - LOL

crazyhorse - there like normal wrist curls with a DB but you use a plate (say a 10 or 15kg single plate) and hold it at the ends...I think Big Al gave a link to some other chap yesterday about doing plate curls. As to did J5 explain plate pinch.

    I'd start with a 5kg plate mate. I can only just do a 10kg, forget about a 15...

how many sets do you do and how about reps, should i keep it in the 5 sets of 3-5 rep range
i know on the farmers carry i try to do as much weight i can and carry it as far as i can
i need more grip on the deadlift i can do more weight than i can hold on to and its getting frustrating.

Other stuff too. It's 4 hours inc Kettlebell instruction, core training (three instructors for that portion) and all that as well as a portion on grip strength, displays of the same and so on. Go to www.intensefitness.co.uk and click on the seminars button. It'll be £50.00 for the four hours and we're hoping for 30-40 as a result of a great article on Stan Pike in Men's Health. I'll lift my millennium dumbbell, shut a CoC 3 and so on. They'll be nail bending, feats of strength and more. All meat and potatoes, no filler :)

Of the couple I have done already as well as those done with and by the boys from IF we like several things to happen. 1) you ask loads of questions - you pay £50.00 you wanna get your monies worth. 2) you learn good solid basic stuff that's gonna last you for years. 3) you feel buzzing with the strength displays and feel like you can do something special. Nothing I do is so far beyond anyone that they can't do it too - even if it does take a while. I want you to feel like you can kick butt. I want the pupils to be talking about what they learnt and saw for days if not weeks. Now that's gotta be worth a couple of notes. Besides if I am wedged up cos loads of you come I'll get the teas :)
