increasing functionality of overhead squat

I was thinking... the overhead squat is a really good core/functional strength exercise, could it be made even better using dumbells? forcing both arms to stabalize seperatly? I would think that would make it harder, and thus better; am I wrong?

    It probably would, but youd have to use less weight remember
