Nicki, the other female mod runs a modelling agency called 'fitphysiques'

For comps there are four associations Nabba and EFBB and then two natural assocations NPA and BNBF. The only bitching that may happen depends on who's backstage with you at the time. I've had no real problems this year, the girls have all been friendly.

    Hi Yoyokaz

I don't want to be pessimistic aboout fitness modelling but I'm going to be anyway! It seems really hard to get into fitness modelling here in the UK as there just isn't an industry.
For one thing there are no magazines to appear in focusing on fitness and muscle for females, even the British edition of Muscle and Fitness Hers has been stopped (not much takeup).
Another thing, it seems the female "buff" body is still not liked in mainstream ads. How many times have you seen an advertisement for fitness stuff ie clothes, gyms, equipment and the model is usually skinny with no muscle tone.
I've noticed that a few comeptiors in UK who want to get into fitness modelling do go to States and Canada, even Europe as there are more opportunities there.

Yes, Fitphysiques has a few female "buff" bodies, but I looked recently at the new models to the website and I don't really see why these models are "fitness" models, they are just skinny. So again not really an industry. Just my opinions....

As for competing, depends on what you want to do but the events are there as Kitty has given you, so compete away, but compete for your self not for the hopes of making a carrer out of it.

Just had a look at the site, I would have concidered most of the "muscle" women to be in the fitness category, I guess from seeing the American models in the magazines and having those ideals in mind. I guess we must all be freaks having/wanting so much muscle!

There were only four girls on that site when I last looked, who all had good mucsle tone. And the pictures were tasteful.

It all seems to be about have a big pair of t*ts, and not being shy about getting them out (well for a few of them anyway!) Surly they'de be better suited at a glomour model agency?!

I don't understand why the sport can't be shown off in a tasteful manner. Why have the women got to leave so little to the imagination? With filthy expressions on there faces and yucky poses. It's not what fitness/bodybuilding is about. Well not to me and my parter.

And don't think I'm an old bat, I'm only 21yrs.
