innocent whey shakes

tried something today. when i'm a bit flush i tend to buy innocent smoothies cos i love um. their pricy though normally. anyway, i have a glass with a whey shake with some scottish oats in it. why though i thought, why not just add the lot together?

so, i took the following

200ml innocent smoothie
200ml water
4 scoops impact unflavoured whey (though any unflavoured whey would do)
1 scoop scottish fine ground oats.
a few other goodies, ALA etc

MIXED

all in all, it was a bit good, so give it a try!!

You can do this with yogurts as well.

fair point mob i would imagine that would work out quite nice. there both a bit of a change from plain old whey anyway and they wack in a few vits to the mix aswell which cant do any harm

Why not make your own smoothie from frozen berries, skimmed milk, some live yoghurt and the rest as per your post, more likely to workout cheaper.

Admittedly it won't taste as nice as a innocent smoothie.

it does mate and its a good idea. i didnt post it for that though cos thats well known about. loads of people get their blender out and a banana and a few other bits, in with the whey and some milk and walaah you have a tasty shake. its messy though with cleaning blades on blenders and all that carry on. for a few more pennies as a treat, do as i said and you can do it just in the shaker, no mess no nothing. easy life - lazy git aye, but easy life

4 scoops of Impact whey is a lot of protein for one serving Tiger, thats about 90g of protein in one go?

Or do you drink it half now half later?

lol i can smell a flaw in your assumption. scoop sizes mate.

for me, 4 scoops is about 80g total weight, about 64g protein. a little on the heavy side and i do it all in one me, but i put it in just to show much much you could get away with and it still mixing.

i dont buy into this 'you can only use 50g of protein at any one time' theory, and though i do think theres a limit to what you can take in before you start storing the rest as fat, i think 64g is still well inside what i can handle. each to their own though i you have to get used to what it does for you. as far as the origonal post goes though, do as shown, then just wack in fridge - job done
