irregular menstrual cycle

I missed my period for about 4 months and it finally came, it has been 6 days and today it stopped all day until i came home and it started back but it was pretty light. I was wondering if anyone had this problem and knew about how long it would be until it was completly finished. I was planning a trip this weekend and it is valentine's weekend. One more thing, does anyone know how long is a good time to wait before having sex after your menstrual cycle. If it stopped friday night, would it be ok saturday night and not start again? *ive had that happen before*

Please e-mail me: itsjustme6352@yahoo.com
Thanks

I've had this a few years ago when I decided to come off the pill. My periods were every two months and then some months later I took the morning after pill and didn;t have another period for about 7 months. Through my own research I found that this was possibly due to the excessive doseage of oestrogen I took but the Docs said not! I had all the blood tests and everything was fine. The day I went to see the specialist......guess what happened? Yep..came on! I told him at the appointment and all he could say was 'well it must have been one of those things'...WTF[V]....I've never come across that medical term before. All the guy could advise me was to go back on the pill as it would regulate my periods again and also protect me from female cancers......I did this for 2 years and then came off again and they are now fine...
