BB, good to have you back mate!

Good goals, and very similar to mine. Will keep an eye on this one.

Nice routine and straight to the point, but will you include some grip work and stretching? I feel that unless you are using straps, jumping from 175 to 200 (in 12 weeks) would be tough without a strong grip.

i will include some grip work in there. grip has never been an issue with my deadlifts, probably because i have never worn straps/gloves/anything.

the 175kg was not a max single as veganlifter can verify. in fact i felt good for 180kg or more.

if i can triple 185kg in about 10 weeks then 200kg will fall.

besides, i havent been training seriously for all that long-way way under a year...

a 50lb gain for a novice in the deadlift is very possible mate,
i can definetly blast that weight.

    anymore opinions on my aims?

I agree with JF that the biggest test will be on your grip. You may be able to easily grip 175kg, but you'd be surprised how much more difficult it will be to hang on to 200kg for long enough to make a clean rep.

    Also,

    barbell curl;5x5
I would suggest that these two statements are slightly at odds. If you're really serious about achieving those goals in 12 weeks then wouldn't the energy used to do curls be better spent doing a real exercise like Good mornings, GH raises etc.

fair point, what do you suggest? maybe i should swap barbell curl for some sort of grip work? or hamstring exercise?

    barbell hack squat? sldl?

ideas for grip would also help......crusher? rolling thunder? pinch grip work>?

how bout ditch it and instead of squat or powerclean do squat and power clean. if a 160kg squat is ur goal u should be squatting every week.

BB is part of the no-belt gang...

Hey BB, are you free in any of these coming sundays for a session if DMPM is coming down as well? Could just pin down a date and then announce it in general section and see who pop's in.

The name of the game will be deadlifts and grip! Unless we can find a good place to just do odd objects

Also, where was the problem with the 180xmiss? Are you going to do any assistance work to work on it?

Yep, throw up a date. Deads and grips is the order of the day!

the problem with the miss was, no energy, poor diet , no sleep + getting too pissed all the time.

going home this upcoming week to sort things out.

ummmm....im free on the 16th of november, for a session, or alternatively, the 9th if u cant do the 16th ---

training and diet will increase in consistency and quality./

    No can do 15th.

I'm free 23/12 or 07/12. Booked up for everything else unfortunately.

If these are no good, I can take a day off during the week sometime, but I need a bit of warning.

BB, nice one with nearly nailing the 145 squat! You have it in you for sure!

DMPM, what do you mean with "No can do 15th"? Can't or can? 16th is out, as is the w/e after that (i'm away).
