can you get in to the boot from inside the car?

if so break a back window and get a replacement in the scrap yard

Just break a window (as it looks as though you have already decided to do) and then claim it on your insurance. usually a reduced £50 excess and doesn't affect your NCD.

You did gain far too much fat though,I mean, you're not muscular at all, you're just a fat mess.

If the back are on the sort of hinges that I'm thinking of where they open out a couple of inches, then you could always try gently levering the window open with a flathead screwdriver... if you can do that then you could use something to pull the handle from inside the car and open a door...but doing this you run the risk of scratching the paintwork and cracking the window so put a cloth between the paintwork and the screwdriver.

Locked my only set of car keys in the boot! 2008/05/13 13:35:16 (permalink)
I've done this before in a Mark 6 Escort. The central locking system had a habit of locking itself for no reason and it did it when I had the engine running and I was on the outside of the car defrosting it.

I was going to break the rear quarter window but I realised it would be easier to replace one of the rear windy-down windows so smashed that instead. Took a fair bit of effort to get a brick though it!

    Unaffiliated.

You could try gently wedging the top of the door open and trying to grasp the door handle with parcel wrap?

Get someone to record you saying how you've locked your keys in the car, smashing your car window and at the end you showing the keys and saying, "I got them", then send it in to you've been framed. That will pay for your window to be replaced.

just checked both models, best bet is front door glasses, dont smash rear quarter's as they are about 3x the price

Ah, memories. When I locked my only set of keys in on of my old cars, I decided to smash a window to get them out. I put a brick through the rear quarter, my thinking being that the smallest window would be the cheapest. Oh how wrong I was...

haha i did this the other week in my mustang thought i was gonna have to pay for a new lock on the boot and removal costs etc. A guy turned up pushed the window slightly and slid in a bag which he then pumped up a little so he could fit a bendy rod in through the gap. Then a bit of trial and error hooking the handle from the inside and voila i was in, went through the back seats and got my keys back. Best thing of all was when i asked him how much it was and he said no its free its on Ford, i was a very happy camper then.
