lat pull down help/advice?

Hi,

I want to be able to do 95KG lat pull down.

I currently can lpd 56KG 8 reps and 3sets.

for the last 2 weeks i have tried to increase from 56kg to 63kg but i find it immensly diffucult, to lift 63kg and do 8 reps and 3 sets.

can anyone give me advice on how to increase strength for lpd?

    Hi,

It's going to take time to build up from 56-->95KG. Your lifts will progress as you work and develop your back on other exercises, e.g. bent-over rows, deadlifts, pull-ups. Also, try making smaller increments in weight for the LPD each weel - add 3-4KG each week and aim for the 8 reps. How many reps you get out may also depend on the order you do this exercise each back session, e.g. if you did LPD as the first exercise last week and as the last exercise this week, the number of reps you get out may not be as high.

    Hope that helps!

I always do lat pull downs the first exercise of every week. Just wondering how long would it take to move up from 56KG to 95KG.

When i started doing Lat pull downs, i started at 35KG and found it really hard, within 2 weeks i was able to do 49KG perfectly then i moved to 56KG in the 3rd week and have been doing 8reps (barely) for 2 weeks and havnt moved up.

I can attempt 63KG but i cant sucessfully (properly) complete 8 reps.

any guestemation on how long it would take a person to move up from 56kg to 95kg ( i really want to move to 95KG so i can do pull ups)
