Reverse Grip Pulldowns done with one hand or two thats a good one for lateral head, try doing it in superslow method i.e 10 secs a rep works wonders

Well, the three tricep heads all insert onto the ulna, but the long head originates on the scapula whilst the lateral and medial heads originate on the humerous.

The fact that all three heads insert to the same place and do the same basic movement suggests to me that you can't effectively isolate the long head, and therefore should concentrate on the best mass-building exercises such as close-grip bench and dips.

overhead lockouts, close grip benching and DB skull crushers will put more stress on the lateral head but to be honest, as Mikey says you're best sticking to the basic mass builders.

PikeKing - could you do me a favour and explain an overhead lockout to me?

I'm thinking, set the pins in a power rack about foot over head, and perform the second half of the shoulder press... - type thing?

Yup. The range of motion need only be a few inches.
