lifting too much?

im lifting 5 days a wk but want to change my rutine. i was thinking of chest tris mon, back bi's tues and legs and shoulders wed. and take thursday off and start over. i was woundering if that wass over training or not? also is it ok to lift 3 hours at a time or is 1 to 2 fine? thanks

    why not lift mon/wed /fri/ give you self time to recover,lifting for 3 hours way to long,best to train hard for shorter periods say 45 mins top

    if you training for 3 hours over training mate 3 days as tyrob says keep it simple
    your split fine ch 3 ex 3 heavy sets tri 2 ex 2/3 heavy sets and same on other days

    without really looking at the routine side of things mate as soon as i read 5 day week then yes too much, unless some of that is cardio or gpp. knock it down to 3 per week or even over 8-9 days. basic compounds worked hard will require more time away from the gym than in it. check the routines section for a good basic routine. try frankies on the other bit

    You gotta have at least a full day of rest beween back day and leg day IMO
    I like M W F....However I been using M(chest, tri) TU(Legs,Shoulder) FR(back, bis) recently...2 day rest after legs :)))
