I would also say it is down to you having an empty stomach also as excess food in your stomach would have been digested over night nece why you would have a flat stomach in the morning

It would also depend on how many times you tank one out during the night.

This is exactly the kind of worry that stems from using the scales every day.

Your body weight does fluctuate naturally depending on what is, and isn't in your body at any one time. You are not losing 4lbs of actual body weight.

If you have to use the scales, try using them just once a month.

happens to me, i add a few pounds by the end of the night, after a full days worth of eating, by the next morning, my weight goes down.
    natural fluctuations.

as somone wise said, weigh your self once a month.

its annoying because in your mind you automatically think youve lost muscle. i know this is not the case.

just wanted too see if this was the case with some others as well

    thanks

I'm no expert, but it will be broken down and used by the body to feed itself. Some of it we'll lose as perspiration during the night and some of it also as energy in the form of heat.

Also, if you breathe through your mouth during the night that will cause a lot of water loss as the saliva constantly evaporates. I heard it could be as bad as 2 or more litres in some people.

actual weight is really a range rather than a spific number, based on how well hydrated we are, how much undigested food is in the gut, whether bowels and bladder are empty/full. it would be more accurate to say I weigh "228-234" rather than "I weigh 231"

Weigh yourself on accurate scales, chug down 2 pints of water and bingo! 1kg weight gain in 60 seconds, better than any steroid lol

yeah but 4lb difference thats getting on for 2Kg.

8lbs, thats almost 4Kg.. its a lot of persperation If memory serves a kg of water is a litre.

surely ud wake up in a puddle!!!

I believe you when you quote these weights.. but cant understand how it happens
