lost 7lbs in one month :(

Hi,

I have been working really hard; I have been doing cardio 65min every day of the week for an entire month, and also 2 hours of weight lifting. I have injured my arms, legs, toes but now I have changed all that by creating a routine to work each section of the body different days and giving 48hours rest on each body party (which has eliminated injury occurring from exercising).

However the most disappointing part is that I have only lost 7lbs, working entire month really hard, pushing my self to the physical limits.

http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_627381/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#627381

thats my diet, i have now removed any meal from night, only drink egg whites at night and nothing else, i assume having a high carb diet at night is helping me keep the fat?

Also i assume the hard earned weight loss of 7lbs is just water weight?

7 lbs in 1 month, are you not pleased with this? another month like that then it'll be 14 lbs in total. don't be so hard on yourself

    start - 8 stone 7 lbs
    current - 10 stone 1 lb

Why do you assume this mate? In fact, you may well have lost more than 7lbs of fat - as you may have put on muscle as well which weighs more than fat! Even if it is just 7lbs of fat in a month, that is great going - you don't want a huge amount to be lost otherwise you will be losing muscle too.

Thanks for the replies guys, I assumed that 7lbs was not a good amount of weight loss, as I have watched on TV (some fat peoples weight loss competition program) fat people were able to lose over 12lbs in a week

But I am happy with the result after yesterday when I did a cardio session I was able to beat all my previous performance. (Used to run 7.4~5 Km) now I can run 8.30KM in 60min.

I was wonder does anyone know how much a average healthy fit person can run in 60min? I cant seem to find it any where.

12Ibs in 1 week is crazy, 1Ib a week is a good aim. Anything more is a bonus. 12IB in 1 week would most definitly result in muscle loss too.

That 12lbs would break down into mostly water, some muscle tissue, some fat, some abdominal content.

This is why i dont like the scales, it tells you nothing about your body composition, thats what is really important.
Calipers, mirror, tape, scales. Use all tools at your disposal to monitor progress.

That's great- Taking photos is the better way of charting progress rather than all these numbers.

That 12lb in 1 week - The person must have been extremely overweight (300lbs+), and that would be fat loss, water loss, stomach contents etc... not just fat

2lb per week is the optimal for maintaining mass and losing fat. Any more would cause catabolism and eat your muscle tissue

I saw on telly once about a show where 2 teams competed each other to lose weight the first week a bloke lost 24lb but the second week he lost only 7 so most of his weight loss must have been through water

Unsatisfied with 7lbs a month?!?! I hate you. If I lost 7lb a week, I'd hit my exact goal for Dec 11, in 2 weeks
