more FAT in chicken than PROTEIN!!!!!

Did anyone watch dispatches last night?? They actually said that the chicken now has moe fat in it than protein because of how there forced to mature quickly!!!!

    Surely that was a whole chicken wasnt it, and the darker meat there's in there as opposed to the white meat is going to have more fat in it.

    I buy chicken breasts (rarley though due to cost) but i agree although a little fat comes out of them when cooked on the george foreman for example, the majority is water

    Bear in mind that this is supermarket chicken that comes from their own farms. Many butchers and whatnot do chickens the old-skool way, just check for the brown marks on the legs to see if they've been over-fed and were too fat.

    I've always said to people about Asda et al that they're cheap for a reason, CHEAP AND NASTY - even their carriers are cheap and fall apart before you get them into the car.

    You should be buying butchers' chickens for the humane reasons too, the battery hens for butchers have room to roam and daylight simulation bulbs, etc - much better way of life.

    i would prefer to shop at a butchers but always perceived them to be more expensive and its easier to purchasing meat with the rest of my shopping.

    I missed the program dam it! Jesus im dumb.

    I still get a roast chicked from the dele at Tesco but i only use the breast meat and pull the skin off it.

    Are these still fatty??
