my proposed new routine

see what you think fellas:

all below done on a 4 x 6 basis:

Mon
Barbell bench Press
Incline Dumbell Press
Standing Military Press
CG Bench Press (Smith Machine)

Weds
Deadlifts
Dumbell Rows
Close grip chins

Fri
SL Deads
Front Squats
Abs

Let me know pls..........

    Looks good to me mate, one thing though, do your back workout on monday and chest on wednesday. Doing deadlifts and then stiff leg deads with one days rest is a bit nutty.

    looks good bob, by the way, in the other thread, i meant no offence by the beginner statement. i class everyone that hasn't trained for at least 2 years with a solid routine AND good diet AND consistency of training as a beginner. that includes me and many others on this site.

    but like PK said, either move fridays workout to sunday, or swap monday for it.

    BTW Rob, no offence taken at all mate, just suppose we have different ideas of what a beginner is. I class a beginner as someone who's just walked into a gym for the 1st time, while I would probably class myself as a novice, if that makes any sense!

    Mon = good
    Wed = do military press before incline bench
    Fri = do squats first & add a few sets for calves
