myprotein whey taste advice

Hey guys,

I am considering buying a new bag of protein.. the flavors in game are: Mocha, Chocolate Nut, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Banana, Banana, Rocky Road and Cookies and Cream.

Quite some time ago I had samples of Banofee, Latte and Choc Mint.
As you can see, couple of the flavors are very similar.. I have no idea what's the difference between Coc Nut and Choc PB?
Rocky Road and Cookies n Cream?

I liked the Latte sample, so I guess Mocha will be similar with a hint of choc syrup or something..
Choc mint was also a very good combination.

Anybody tried any of these flavors? MP has a huge amount of them.. I tried to narrow down my choice based on the comments on the site and my own assumptions (if it sounds too unnatural, it probably is) - the banofee was disgusting.

But I need to pick a winner :P

Thanks for the recommendation.

Not on your list and I'm not a fan of MP, but their salted caramel flavour is one of my all time favourites.  Mix it with natural yoghurt for one amazing pudding.

ye, that's exactly what I am thinking about those too.. they might get little too sweet and heavy after a 1kg bag.

Anyway, as I see, it probably comes down to personal preference.. too bad they don't do 500g bags.
I could go with Gonutrition in that case.

But thanks a lot guys for your opinions :)

I've found banana to be quite nice, strawberries and cream is sweet but I like it.

I recently bought raspberry flavour which is awful. Bit of a shame as I bought a 5kg bag of it. Bad times :(

I just buy whatever, the flavour is an afterthought. To me it isn't something to be enjoy like a cup of coffee. It's down my gullet in 10 seconds.

Do people really spend so much emphasis considering flavours?

there is a lot of emphasis on flavours now, hence the reason there's a massive choice. i think at one point MP had 50 flavour options, which tells you all you need to know about emphasis on flavours

Hah, unlucky :) 5 kg of protein is hell of a lot.

Ye, I completely understand that. However, recently I take whey protein as a kind of desert (with excellent macros :P). I do a sludge with frozen fruit, proatmeal, mix it into yogurt. Used to do shakes when I had a blender - they taste like heaven.

I just wanted to see what others like, so I can make an educated decision :D

I have tried a lot of flavours from MP, they are fun, but after a while sweetness becomes and issue. after a grueling sesion trying to take a weird flavour can be hard, I stick with chocolate or unflavoured now, quality is undeniable, but wouldn't go more than 1kg in any other flavour now, nice change though.

Yep, always unflavoured whey.
As a PWO shake I always add a carb source which can be a flavoured carb powder or low fat milkshake powder, and allows me to change flavour daily.
For smoothies I want unflavoured becuase I don't want every smoothie tasting the same.
And for cooking or adding to porridge etc, again, I don't want all my protein muffins, pancakes and porridge tasting of minty peanut butter or what not.

Casein I buy flavoured as I tend to use this on it's own before bed.

I tend to buy more unflavoured and 2.5kg's for flavoured. At the momment I have natural chocolate, banana and vanilla from MP.

Taste wise the banana and vanilla win hands down chocolate It took me a week or so to get used to.
