need help with diet please

Hi All,
i am a 26yr old male 5ft 7 and currently weigh in at almost 17stone, most of which is blubber as you can imagine. i have just started back to the gym and am currently training 3 times a week. about an hour spent on lifting and 20-30 mins on cardio (treadmill).

i am also 3 days into my new diet...... which consists of 1 promax diet shake in the morning (9am) one in the afternoon (4pm) and a meal at about 8pm which i am limiting to either lean steak or chicken breast and 1 small jacket potato. my thinking is by limiting my carb intake my body will burn fat quite rapidly.

i am taking the following supplements fish oil 6 per day split into 3 am and 3 pm. creatine at same times and also C.L.A.

my energy levels are low and i have a bit of a short fuse at the moment but im thinking that will change once my body get used to the drop in calories.

ideally i want to lose 3stone asap.....i know it wont happen overnight but with 3 or 4 months would be nice

can anyone give me some advice? as im a bit daunted by it all i really want to see quick results.

any suggestions on alternative diet ideas would be really appreciated

best advice is stick at it, and just try to keep as active as you can. try to focus carbs around the workout times to stop feeling tired and funny

Best advise i can give is get your diet in check. 'You are what you eat' couldnt be more true. At the moment your diet looks pretty rubbish to be honest. I suggest you start eating 6 small meals a day, rather than the 3 at current. Spread these out about 2-3hours between each one. This will help to keep your metabolism high and reduce massive insulin spikes, which can lead to fat storage.
As for quick results, there isnt really a quick fix you just have to stick with it, you'll probably see some good results in teh first few weeks, but this will start to taper off. Dont let this put you off though, just keep to your diet and work hard in the gym.
