neewbie here, diet help

i am 39 years old, and for the past 5 years the belly fat has slowly increased. but in the past 1.5 years i've noticed that i experience a lot of bloating and distention that's more than my belly fat. i've changed the diet but the fat and the distention have not chamged much. i believe both are not related. any suggestions? ideas?

Yeah, start by posting up your diet and routine (and any history that might be relevant) and we'll see what we can do!

this is the standard daily breakdown, with some variations when i go out to dinner
bfeakfast: egg whites, oatmeal, cup of coffee
lunch: salad with chicken or fish
    aft snack: protein shake
dinner: fish or meat and some carbs like pasta/rice
i tend to snack here and there on chocolate or cookies, just a few nothing major
i do not eat "fast food", very little if at all fried food and no soda

my ideal exercise routine is 4-5 times a week, 4 x weights and cardio x 3, but i can't always meet this due to work/life demands

yeah, i was thinking of going to a GI doc. i eat really well, in fact my coworkers regularly make fun of my "healthy" eating habits.
even my gf, whose a doctor, said my adbominal distention is abnormal

other users experiences as a whole are unique to the user, some of them may have the same symptoms but the underlying cause may be different. Best why not to take advice regarding issues affecting healthy from a forum or any other online organisation as not many people are qualified to answer your query properly, hence why best to go to your GP
