neewbie here

i've been working out since i was in my late teens. now, after almost 20 years of hitting the weights (39 now) i've decided to do my first cycle. i've read through dozens and dozens of posts and articles on muscle talk. any suggestions?

i'm 5'9" , almost 12 stone, very thin, light frame. i've never gotten any great size and to be honest if i gained a lot it wouldn't look good on my light frame, small bone structure. i'd like to make small but solid gains.

you could try a dbol only cycle at 30mg everyday for 6 weeks or 500mg of test only for 8-10 weeks.

I'd go with the test cycle for ten... unless you have a serious aversion to needles... but really after your first couple injections it's a cake walk!!

weighted dips 67 kgs 3 solid reps
    deadlift 220kgs 1
    shoulder shrug 320kgs 3
    leg press 593kgs 3-4

    body weight 82kgs

i'm resigned to the fact that injections will be coming into the picture.
from what i've read, test seems to be everyone's favorite. i've read that test will produce lots of sides, not to mention shut down the body's hpta. i can do the injections, wanna avoid sides. i know it means sacrificing gains, but that's fine.

You need the most anabolic substance known to man. FOOD. You'll grow like a mofo.

At 12 stone, regardless of age, you don't need steroids.

If you instist, run 500mg test eth for 10 weeks and use the PCT protocol of:

    Day 1 60mg Nolva
    Days 2-11 40mg
    Days 12-21 20mg.

I hate these generalisations!! it's just not true there are alot of men that have put in training and have a diet down and have years of exp that will never be over 200lbs nor do they ever want to be... I myself would not tbe the best athlete I can be at 200lbs+... take a look at matt hughes the strongest lb for lb fighter in the UFC... wrestled in college, trained nearly all his life... is he not ready for gear?? I hear this all the time and it's really just unfounded regurgitated nonsense!! are all athletes regardless of sport that are not 200lbs+ regardless of training exp, length, diet etc not ready for gear??? I'm not saying this guy in particular is ready for gear as I really don't know all that much about him but I can't directly rule it out... he could be one ripped up sob... I dunno... an I'm not tryin to flame you in any way Laz, just I get tired of hearing this same answer time and time again... I myself wrestled in college and didn't start gear until I was 26, I was always strong for my size and stronger than most on my teams... the only reason I would say that I wasn't fully ready when I began is I wish I had done more research... I thought I had done quite a bit at the time but the more time I spent here the more I realised how little I really knew in the beginning!! anyways just my 2 cents

To be fair though mate we are talking about bb'ers here, not athletes. So unless someone has explained that they are an athlete and not a bb'er then we can only assume he is a bb'er and papa's point is therefore valid.

I would fully agree if we were in the BB forum... but we're not and there's a ton of athletes that juice... and nowhere does he state either way that he's a BB or an athlete... I wasn't assuming he was an athlete I was just pointing out that I here over and over that unless you're 15/200lbs+ you aren't ready for steroids.... and that is inaccurate IMHO and generally rushing to the conclusions that's it's some scrawny pencil necked couch potato, that suddenly decided he wanted to join the big boy club... and yes there are those folks out there... I'm not denying that!! an yes when they want the short cut they need to have the facts laid out for them and put in their time and pay their dues!! but not everybody that falls short of 200lbs+ is in that boat, and it seems that most times as soon as somebody admits to being not up to "gear ready" weight it's conversation over "go to the diet forum" and "pay your dues"!! and that's just not the case with everybody. I understand what Laz was saying and there are definitely times when that is spot on, dead to rights, accurate (I'm not saying in this case it is or isn't) but I think we should keep in mind that sometimes it's not!!

please take note that I'm not trying to be a dick in any way and I have respect, so if anything I said sounds like I was being a dick it was not my intention, just trying to point out that it shouldn't always be the conclusion we jump to!!

Fair point mate. But as far as i'm concerned this is a bodybuilding forum, which also caters for other walks of life. So unless stated, i would personally assume they were a bodybuilder. You not coming across as a dick at all.

Back on topic tho ill just bump PB question to the poster:

this is my basic daily diet:
    8am oatmeal, coffee, fruit
10 am egg whites, whole wheat toast
    12 noon gym
130 post workout protein drink, fruit
230 some grilled chicken or fish, salad
530-600 fish, meat or chicken with some rice, potato or pasta

of course, it can vary here and there. for example, today i had fish w/rice for lunch instead of chicken to vary my meals. plus i do like eating out every now and then. i also like my chocolate, in moderation, and occasional desserts.

by no means amd i running a strict diet. i'd rather allow myself a little treat here and there than total denial. i dont eat fried foods, fast foods or garbage. coworkers are constantly making fun of my healthy eating habits. they say i make them look bad.

that really doesn't tell us much at all bro... you've said what foods you intake, but left out portion sizes ie amount of protein, carbs, cals

hmmm I just always assumed that it was people wanting to discuss testosterone and other steroids!! haha but seriously I dunno there's all kinds of different folks that are here for so many various reasons, athletes from fighters, to football players, to power lifters, to BB'ers, to old timers that just want some HRT, and even the lil guy that wants a quick fix, it's an assorted pack, I don't really assume anything until someone specifies, but I come at it from the view of a different sport... where it's not about mass it's about lb for lb strength, I'm guessin you're a body builder (but not because we're in the steroid forum!! )

    Lol yes mate i am.

Yes it is the Steroid section of a bodybuilding forum! Same with the diet section of the bodybuilding forum and the supplement section of the bodybuilding forum. Also there is a training section of the bodybuilding forum. DId u expect there to be just one big section called bodybuilding that covers everything?
