negatives for mass??

was just wondering how effective are negatives for mass, what rep range and how long they should be done for (amount of weeks)

    I'm not sure how effective they are for mass - when I first started doing dips I couldn't as I was too heavy(or my triceps were too weak) my mate had me doing slow negatives for a couple of weeks, after that I could start doing proper dips, so they definitely do something.

    They are also very good for building up your chin-up strength if you find them difficult.The best way to employ negatives is to do a few at the end of a set.Obviously you need a spotter for this.I would only do them now and then to be honest.I dont know how experienced you are but its a fairly advanced training method.If you're relatively new to training,(I only say this cos its in the beginners section) they're probably best left alone until a bit later on,when you start struggling for gains.
