new nhs guidelines for T replacement.

my endo wouldnt tell me what they were but threw it into the conversation during my 3 monthly review...

It gave me an opening to ask her exactly what she intended for me in view of the fact i openly told her what dose i felt 100% on and why her airing on the cautious dosing side in in a fluid changing branch of medicine was not leaving me feeling 100%...

On tostran gel 40mg daily had seen me test at 46mol and with the dose dropped to 30mg i tested at 31 mol

but....

she swapped me to anther make of gel some months ago to be able to dose at 25mg as the pump on tostran only doses 10mg increments...

This new gel comes in silver tubes of 50mg and you put half on and use the rest the next day and so on...
I havnt felt 100% since i started on it and my 25mg dose saw me test at 12 and 13 mol over the next months and had a nasty side effect - be warned - hair loss..

she has agreed to put me back on 30mg of tostran and cut my visits to 6 monthly with 3 monthly bloods and if i test around 30mol as in the past that leaves me feeling 100% - suits me

Been an uphill struggle...

Its the "testogel" that is messy and doesn't seem to improve my levels and has lousy side effects...

she did mention there was a resealable cream I could try but feeling crap on low levels for the last months I opted for the tostran that worked in the past...
