negative energy expenditure = weight loss.

I mean if you eat 6000 cals of fat and protein per day and no carbs but you only burn 3000 then you will gain weight.

No carbs is not good if you are planning to train or do anything that requires any form of intensity as muscle will end up getting used as fuel.

Plus you'll probably feel like sh1t on no carbs

8weeks to cut is not long but you can make some progress. In reality its best to plan better and not leave it so close and then attempt some mad crazy diet.

    Depends on your lifestyle.

To be honest, I would probably do the same as you, probably a week before holiday, just go gym, do light weight excercises, eat very low carbs and just stick to protein and fat. I wouldnt cancel carbs out completely, just once for breakfast and another ppwo. Some people most probably wouldnt advocate this but damn, I too would get paranoid about putting on a the tiniest bit of fat, especially as you would be looking real good and happy with yourself.

Have a good holiday, where you off to by the way?

    Post up your current diet.

Also post up your cardio routine at the moment.

You could also do a slow paced jog for 45 mins after waking, then another for an hour in the evening every day until then, nothing too strenuos by any means like to make you huff and puff but a level where you find yourself sweating bucket loads.
