orange juice

just thought i would mention orange juice and the hidden things within.there i was drinking my usual 2 glasses a day of pure orange juice thinking i was doing the right thing getting all my vitamins and minrals good lad.then i go to the dentist for a toothache and am told that the reason why i had pain and damaged my gums is cos i drink pure orange juice, something to do with the acidity in the juice i had never thought of that.so all is not as clear cut as i thought

Same with a lot of things though to be honest, even things like eating fruit, drinking certain diet drinks, etc.. can all have a bad effect on your teeth.

I was watching a programme the other day on tv which showed how bad teeth decay if you eat an orange for instance, yet if you eat say, 1 orange segment per 30 mins, and take a few hours to eat it, and examples like that, it can really do your teeth no good at all.

breathing causes damage to your body, you're pretty much ****ed whatever you do.

Fruit juices have never really been healthy, they are concentrated calories and lack most of the goodness of real fruit, that's why regardless of how much you drink only one of your 'five a day' can come form juice.

I'm sure it surprises most people to discover that raisins (sultanas) are one of the worst things in existence for your teeth.

just brush your teeth regularly, chew sugar free gum and use mouthwash. Or if you are lucky like me then you've had all your teeth sealed meaning there is almost no chance they will rot providing I clean them properly.
