pain were rib cage connects in the center?

i was swinging my arms to warm up and felt a crack in the center of my rib cage a couple month ago, it doesnt hurt much, just when i bench press or squeeze my pecs together? what can this be?
the crack was like when you crack your knuckles, thats sort of feeling??

Clicked the old sternum? Cracked the old sternum?

Theres Cartlidge between there ,you may have had a mild tweak or strain before and movement was just a bit too much for it
just give it time nowt can be done anyways

Nigeepoo mentioned something like this when I had some bitching flu last year.

I cannot remember what the thread was about initially to be honest so don't know how to find it!

I've had the exact same thing, seemed to take around 6 months to get better.

Ive had this pain 3 weeks now. Its next to my sternum and slightly to the right of my sternum under my pec muscle. At first I thought it was a muscle strain and so I went to the doctor. He said it was Costochondritis. Hurts to touch in that one place. I think this came about by me doing the bench press and stupidly leaning the bar on my chest somtimes. Started feeling a bit down in the dumps about it and wondering when I should get back to bench press and associated excersises. Hurts to do a push up right now.
Stone14 just wondering how your doing lately and if its gone away or are you excersising through it?
