pc game help

just bought battlefield 2, when i put it into the drive nothing happens, after a few seconds it makes like a ticking noise, same happens when i try and play medal of honour p.assult, its fine with other games , any ideas ??

    Go into my 'computer' and look at the 'devices with removable storage' to see if it brings up your disc drive, if it's not there then it has come out the socket in your computer. Mine does it but I can't be arsed with it until newstuff is in

    try wiping the disk with a soft cloth - drives are very suseptible with a speck of dirt which u might not see with your eye

    This happens to me sometimes mate, i find its due to dust on the reading laser bit, ive got some compressed air in an areosol can, give it a quick blast and it works fine again. Battlefield 2.... good game, single player is crap but online is incredible.

    Dont put a DVD in a Cd drive mate......
