post workout shake

Hi all ive been having a shake after training and was wondering what elce i can throw in it.
At the mo im have 100g of oats and two scoops of bsn syntha 6.
What elce should i put in there?

    ditch the oats, change the syntha 6 to whey - that would really help you - as a blend is not the best choice, and slow digesting carbs are not the best choice either - in fact thats a pretty woeful postwork shake compared to the simple whey and dextrose in water option which is both cheaper and more effective at promoting recovery.
     
    But once you have done that, leucine and glutamine are good choices !

    Its funny I just had this conversation today.
    Simple Whey and dextrose is apparently best. Thats what I've been doing.
    I was surprised when I watched a Ronnie Colman vid recently he just eats bbq chicken and corn postworkout.

    thanks for the repliys guys think i need to change it then.
    Syntha 6 is nearly all gone so ill change to a whey protein and ill keep the oats for breakfast and ill get some dextrose for post workout. also gona get some glutamine.

    just orderd 1kg of dextrose and 500g of glutamine how much should i add to my shake?

    anyone know how much of each would be good to add to my shake?
    im bulking at the mo and im 5ft 10 and i weigh 13 st 3 if that helps.

    Which vid - cost of redemption leaves out some meals altogether :)
     
    And when you are ronnie coleman, you can do what Ronnie does, but remember Ronnie is a freak among freaks!
