PPWO generally no longer than 90 mins after PWO.

Pre workout, depends on how much you eat to be honest.

If it is a shake then you may want it closer to training.

Gaz, obviously this will depend on the whole diet, but broadly speaking can I up the carbs in my PWO shake and lower the amount in PPWO meal as I struggle to eat it? If so, are there any guidelines as to max amount of carbs to be consumed in PWO shake?

    I'm currently bulking.

Yes, upping the carbs PWO and lowering them PPWO is fine.

Solid foods, maybe try having that ~60 mins before workout, and adust from there, depending upon how you feel -

    Energy levels in workout
    Nausea
    etc...

If you are having maltodextrin pre workout, then try and have it close to your training, i.e. 0-10 mins.

    Thanks.

Currently have 40g whey & approx 70g of maltodextrin/dextrose mix as PWO. What's the highest I could take the PWO carbs to without becoming counter-productive and/or wasteful?

Well i think 70 grams is quite a decent level of carbs to have PWO, so leave it at that.
