pull downs

hi guys

not got anywhere for chin ups as the gym not wanting us doing it with smith machine anymore

so out of these 2 machines which is best to use

    why dont they want you to use the smith machine? im surprised they dont have a chin up bar.

    difficult to say which is better, i would prob say the top one looks slightly less artificial & a more naural movement.

    still far better to use a smith machine IMO

    they where saying something about health and safety as thats not what a smith machin intended for.

    like you guys say i think top one looks more natrual so might give that a go tonight

    Yeah the top one is best

    Cant believe you havnt got a chin up bar sh*t it is only a bar with brackets give your gym owna a slap and tell him to get one

    The top ones I think is better but I have nver tried the bottom one. There are some things that are essential in a commercial gym and one of them is a Chin up bar! Tell them to get one!

    I've used the top one for many a pull down back workout.
    I've tried chin up bars but can barely manage to pull off more than 3! (6ft 93kg and arms are one of my weakpoints)
