question about marraige/maintenance

I'm considerng getting married in poland next year.

I am irish, my partner is polish. She currently pays support for a child from a previous relationship.

If I marry her, how does that affect me?
We have a joint account, is there a chance that her former partner could take my money(they were not married but had a son)?

He knows that I'm Irish even though I've not had the pleasure of meeting(kicking the **** outta him) yet.
Is there any chance that our marraige could annul any obligations?

I'd be very suprised if a change in her marital status would affect child spport payment. Is her ex over here, UK?

Oh, and beating up her son's father would not be a wise move IMHO

Nope, her ex lives in poland but he knows I'm irish and he can smell the money, so he has conveniently applied to the courts in poland for extra maintenance.

Kicking the **** outta him would unfortunately be an involuntary reaction, he is a greedy son of a b*tch
