question re something in the new article

nice lil article there TT

anyway, it's about the protein shakes. I hadn't really thought or ever made a shake with anything other than my pro mr or pro mass with milk or water!

So i'm curious, if i made one of the shakes suggested ie with peanut butter, oats, banana etc; how long can i expect this to stay ok for would you think?

I'm up pretty early so i'm thinking along the lines of preparing two of these shakes the night before, one for in the morning and one for about midday at work. Would that be ok or is it likely to become undrinkable by leaving it sitting for about 13 hours in the fridge?

just made one of them now!

a lil plain taste wise, might stick in some banana nesquik or something. I used the whey consortium plain whey, it usually tastes horrid when mixed but along with the other ingridients it's actually got rid of that awful taste!

anyway, still keen to know what someone thinks about it being alright in the morning + midday or not as i think i'll give using these a shot for a week or two

whey protein should really be taken 20-30 minutes at max after its been mixed. you can probably just put everything else in and add the whey in the morning, though.

    ah right,

would be a bit difficult in the morning as it would have been in the shakers, and trying to blend with them already that full has mess written all over it!

how about alternatives like pro mr and pro mass, or is it typically the same for all protein shakes?

I would imagine that if you left oats sitting in water overnight they would supersaturate with the liquid from the shake and end up like a stodgy mess. Not sure though.

I've heard from friends that whey should be consumed within 20minutes of mixing as it begins to degrade, but every time I have asked this question nobody has given a decent arguement for or against this so im still non the wiser

    i have another one,

is the weight of the basmati rice the cooked/drained weight or the dry uncooked weight?

im guessing its the uncooked dry weight as 75g of cooked rice is not much at all.

    p.s great article TT

i have made these shakes up with water and taken them out and had them 6 hours later, fine IMO, even better if you have a fridge, just give them a shake before consuming

right, well i'll give one a go as to not waste too much just incase it goes soggy etc. It will be fridged at work too

on another note, lewandad; in your sig it mentions 87% bodyfat.. i haven't heard of anyone having that! If your not self consciou about things then post up a pic? just curious what 87% looks like on a 5 9" guy weighing just 166lbs!
