routine check please

routine check please

Wonder if you guys have look at my overall routine and generally comment on it , if its any good or not. am i doing enough reps ?

Routine

Monday
12.30pm - 30 min cardio (running)
5pm - gym - chest / abs
-dumbell bench press 4 x 12
-incline dumbell flyes 4 x 10
-reverse crunch 3 x 20
-side crunch 3 x 35

Tuseday
4.30pm - 50 min swimming

Wednesday
12.30pm - 30 min cardio (running)
5pm - gym - shoulder / triceps / abs
-kick backs 3 x 12
-tricep extensions 4 x 15
-reverse crunch 3 x 20
-side crunch 3 x 35

Thursday
4.30pm - 50 min swimming

Friday
12.30pm - 30 min cardio (running)
5pm - gym - back / biceps / legs
-hammer curls 4 x 15
-incline curl 3 x 12
-barbell row - 4 x12
-standing Calf Raise - 3 x 10
-squats - 3 x 8

Diet

Breakfast

7am Cereal / banana / milk / 25g whey
10am cereral bar
1pm sandwhich / 25g whey
3pm crisps
6pm 50g whey
6.30pm dinner (meal that will have some other the following eggs, or chciken, or pasta or tuna)


Expectations

Currently - 6ft and 11 stone
Looking to reduce overall body fat and put on some muscle. not trying to get massive yet, just generally toned at the mo.

    Hmmm interesting shall we say


    Back: deadlift
    Back: chins
    Bi's: close grip chins

    Chest: dips
    Tris: close grip bench
    Delts: Military press

    Legs: Squat
    Legs: SLDL
    Calves: Standing raises

    For now with those goals that should do you, currently you have a lot of pointless exercises in there. That's a very simple and basic 3 day split covering all the basics I hope. I might do 4 sets of around 6 reps for each ATM.

    Now that's more like a routine, one observation tho DV, I wouldn't go for chins followed immediatly by pull-ups for bi's - too similiar IMHO. How 'bout bent over rows instead of chins? I reckon this dude's gonna want to throw in some specific ab work too...

    yer i have absolutly no ab musclues at the mo :(

    just wondering if DV routine will take me long ? want to be int gym for about 45 mins. doesnt seem much to do there. or is that whole point ?
    wouldnt mind doing another chest excerise. as i dont have a flat chest either :(

    trust me mate if you go all out on each set of each exercise and take into account warm up sets you will be knackered between 40 mins and an hour

    sorry to keep going on ! :)
    what shall i do for warm up set then ? those same excersises but at a lower weight, working meself up on to the higher wieghts and then start doing the sets of 4 ?

    dead on mate, I do a set at 50% then one at 80% then my four work sets. Try it, you'll like it!
