routine, some ideas

Hi there this is a routine that has been suggested to me, but I would like to clear one or two things up.

I would like to change the Farmers Walk???
Then the other thing is, what is the recommended amount of exercises per muscle group.
Ie; Day 1

1. Bench press/Incline Bench/dumbbell bench press 3x6 reps
2. Dips 3x6 reps
3. Military press/dumbbell OH press 3x6

This is only one exercise, just seems to little?????

==================================
the suggestion

Day 1

1. Bench press/Incline Bench/dumbell bench press 3x6 reps
2. Dips 3x6 reps
3. Militery press/dumbell OH press 3x6

Day 2
1. Deadlifts 4x1 progressively heavier singles
2. Close grip pull downs 4x6 (/pullups or chins are better though)
3. bent over rows with barbell or dumbells/shrugs 4x6
4. farmers walk 1x roughly 20metres to failure

Day 3
Ice hockey 2hrs

Day 4
rest

Day 5
1. Full Squats 4x6 reps
2. Over head squats 2x10
3. Straight leg dead lift/Goodmorning/glute ham raise/hyper extension 3x6

try to keep at least one day in between weightraining day...i always suggest to follow something like Frankie's or J5's routine...
    ex:
    Pull-
    Deads
    Chins
    Bent over rows

    Push-
    Incline Bench
    Dips
    Standing Military Press

    Legs-
    Front/Back Squats
    SLDL
Weighted crunches on incline bench or hanging leg raises, or a bit of both...

SLDL is stiff legged deadlifts...its pretty much a deadlifts except u keep a slight slight slight bend in the knees throught the exercise to work the hamstrings on the back of the leg mainly...

as for the abs...u can alternate or do 2 sets of each...depends if u want alot of mass on ur abs or not...i do 4 sets of 15...but i dont care for training them much as i get alot done with pilates and i dont want a thick waist...

    Training abs,

I have never really thought about getting a thick waist but you have a point there. So what you are suggesting should not really build your abs much. Am I correct in saying this?

I also don’t really want a think waist. This is what I have been doing 3x30 with an ab roller, left and right. So do you think I am doing this all wrong
