There are many different opinions on this. Mine is that one should always be doing cardio even when bulking, at 3 times per week. This should keep the cardio system ticking over nicely, its not worth risking health for a tiny bit more mass. You say you are a begginer? in that case you will be able to put on muscle and shift some fat at the same time unless you are a very hard gainer. If you have abit of fat to lose then it is beeter to do this before you start a big bulking programme, as bulking will gain you a bit of fat, and if you have to diet down too hard to get rid of it all you risk losing some muscle, so get lean first. In any case I think youre cardio is a good idea.
