sandwiches and rolls

sometimes i take sandwiches or rolls to work, i pack em full of chicken breast and insted of using mayonaise or butter(loadsa fat).. to take the dryness away, i mash up cottage cheese and spread it on both sides of the bread/roll, i get and extra 20-30g of protein and taste good too!

I've been doing the same thing for lunch! Chicken/tuna/turkey/salmon with cottage cheese instead of mayo etc. Tastes great, especially the chive and onion flavour cottage cheese. Supermarkets do a decent selection of flavoured cottage cheeses these days. I just tried lime & corriander tonight (from Safeway), refreshing.

I never used to like cottage cheese, it's only since reading this forum that I thought I would try it again. My tastes have changed it would seem. Nice stuff. I think eating better helps you appreciate more foods, not everything is packed with salt, sugar and fat to make it tastey, like the processed garbage that Mr Birdeye & co produce.
