saw palmetto and increase body fat?

anyone who's taken this noticed an increase in body fat %?

i'm cutting at the moment but was going to add this to my cycle to help out the old prostate but i've read frankly horror stories on the internet about it causing increased fat, gyno, depression etc. now possibly these stories are by non AAS users so i figured i'd ask you lot.

You're pretty convinced saw palmetto is a hell of an anti-DHT.

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11337315

In this study it reduced DHT by about 30%, vs 80% with finasteride. If you're gonna use something at lease use something that really works.

uriel - i've never ever used saw palmetto but it seems to me that lots of people on here include it in their cycles. i know literally nothing about it which is why i'm asking. i don't even know if it's worth while taking to protect your prostate but if it's going to add fat then sod that!

that and EQ are like literally the only things i've not taken so  i know nothing at all about either

It's just a herbal anti-DHT. As with any herbal product that works at all, the effect is very mild. If you really have a problem with DHT you'll need a proper med, if you don't then there's no reason to take anything at all since DHT is actually very beneficial.

You know how everyone says a cycle should always include testosterone for libido and "bodily functions"? Well that's just because testosterone is your body's main source of DHT. Taking out DHT is basically like taking out testosterone, minus the anabolic effect. So you won't necessarily lose muscle mass, but you will lose energy, strength, libido, metabolism/fat loss, general sense of wellbeing that comes from androgens. It also greatly increases risk of gyno. It's sorta like replacing your test with nandrolone.

So have I. It's not bad but it's not the same thing either.

Mixing it with tren doesn't count. Tren is more than a match for DHT all by itself.

I didn't know for certain that saw palmetto which is only a herbal remedy could contribute so significantly to loss of strength, you'll find this post by myself from a few months back quite interesting and seemingly a strong warning to anyone contemplating using saw palmetto,it was probably the culprit for my own drastic loss in strength.
