sigma heart rate monitor

just wondering if anybody knows how close these are to being accurate. i went for a walk yesterday for 55 mins at 110-130bpm and according to the monitor (sigma pc-15) i burnt 612 kcal. seems like alot of calories for a walk.

Sorry I've not used one before.  Does it take into account your resting heart rate and weight?

thanks for replying, yeah it asks for all your stats and works out your heart rate zones. well thats good its accurate, the treadmill in the gym doesnt tell me ive burnt that much, but then again it doesnt ask for all the same stats

    thanks again
