thanks for the reply redwing, i have been advised to take 1 teaspoon of it before my workout mixed in with my protein shake, i had never heard of it before and just wondered how popular it was and if it helped with training etc.

im guessing its quite expensive when you mention its good good supplement when its at a decent price?

Dont put it in your protein shake!  It tastes terrible.

I shouldve just said its a good supplement , its just as always can be very expensive, weve had it on offer on here in the offers thread many times at cheap prices. Im sure some of the bulk suppliers sell it at decent prices I cant remember who.

It tastes like grass and dirt lol ok maybe not that bad but similar. just put it in some water and down it.

It wont do anything for your training , just think of it like eating a spectrum of vegetables its more for your general well being than anything.

Who gave you this advice and what was the reason they gave for consuming spirulina as part of a pre-workout protein shake (assuming a reason was given)?

i am not really sure the reason for taking it pre work out, they explained it to be part of the super food group, and advised me to mix it with my protein shake as it tastes horrible on its own.

I think you've been given a bit of a bum steer there, whoever 'they' were (I'm imagining a personal trainer / someone with an interest in selling this product).

LOL but your putting it in with a load of superfoods AND a powerful pre workout drink (that the company you rep for sells) Not good.

    That list above is mental!!

Fair enough you want to do that everyday but I cant see how you can tell the spirulina is giving you any sort of kick in with that lot.

You could put potatoes in with that lot and say it gives a kick of energy. Even if you just had the veg but to put it in with a pre workout drink and claim is gives a kick is crazy .

Ive just made a pre workout drink of potatoes , caffeine and DMAA . Dam those potatoes give a kick. :)
