    got a book called beyond brawn, question was box or normal squats ,was allways told by power lifting buds to box squat so cant use momentum to get up

    Box squats will certainly have there place as a PL routine if that is what you are after, but that doesn't mean that regular squats, front squats, etc don't also have there place.

    In terms of mass they may also have their uses as an occasional switch from the norm.

    I wouldn't say one is out and out better than the other altho for size I would lean more towards regular back/front squats myself.
